Laura Summer is an American voice actress and producer whose iconic performances have left an indelible mark on animation for nearly four decades. A classically trained actor, Laura’s career began on the New York City theater stage, where she brought Estelle Parsons’ vision to life in a production of Shakespeare’s Antony and Cleopatra. That theatrical foundation has informed every role she’s taken on since.

Fans around the world know Laura as the original voice of Janine Melnitz in The Real Ghostbusters, where her spirited portrayal of the beloved receptionist helped define the character for a generation of viewers. She is equally celebrated as the voice of Patamon in the Digimon franchise, a role she has reprised across multiple series and films including Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02, Digimon: The Movie, the six-film Digimon Adventure tri. series, Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna, and most recently Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning. Her performance as Patamon in Digimon Adventure tri. earned her a 2017 Behind The Voice Actors Award nomination for Best Female Supporting Vocal Performance in an Anime Movie/Special. Her other notable roles include Mimi in Hello Kitty’s Paradise, the mischievous twins Drusilla and Minerva in The Garfield Show, and Princess Hightower in Flint: The Time Detective.

Beyond animation, Laura has voiced hundreds of hours of content for clients including Disney, Warner Bros., Fox, Sony, Cartoon Network, and Netflix, and has appeared on camera in over 100 commercials alongside talents like Paul Newman, Luciano Pavarotti, and Seth Green. Having studied with renowned acting coaches Joan Darling, Michael Howard, and Susan Batson, Laura brings discipline, professionalism, and joy to every performance.
